The 2017 Toyota Prius Four Touring Review that makes you feel surprised and happy to try it. Ok, I’ll confess it, fun to drive Isn’t the first thing that springs to mind when I think of this Toyota Prius. After all, I’d live in California when the second-generation Prius came into its own here in the states back in 2004.
So imagine my surprise to find Out the 2017 Prius Four Touring was actually bordering on the fun to drive variable guaranteed by Toyota. I discovered it to be a roomy and effective hatchback with a surprisingly great ride. But while there are a number of things to appreciate, there are a couple things that can stand to be tweaked.
Red Is the New Green
2016 to attempt to ensure it is increasingly more mainstream in an attempt to shed its tree-hugger picture. But you still will not overlook it for a Prius, particularly coming in the trunk. Its hatchback trunk, using a unique rear bumper, certainly makes a statement. At very front, its nose is sharp with creases.

Without a doubt, I loved the Gorgeous special order color Hypersonic Red, a $395 add-on. It actually turns the Touring into a striking car that can get you noticed for the right reasons.
All Prius’ include bi-LED headlights and LED daytime running lights and taillights.
A Mixed Bag
My inside is a high-contrast Beautiful Gray and Black. The Touring’s 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support is a cure I didn’t expect. The heated front seats are covered with SoftTex, Toyota’s synthetic model of leather, with Touring-exclusive contrasting blue stitching. The material feels comfy but does not breathe exceptionally well especially in hot weather.
Other cottage highlights include That the Touring’s leather-wrapped steering wheel with simple to use controls to Access the audio system smartphone and available safety features such as Lane You’re likely less than 9 miles an hour.

Only to the side of the steering wheel, but do not expect to hear that an engine start. It is eerily silent as a result of its hybrid engine. What you may hear however is that an almost ear piercing warning noise everywhere the backup camera has participated. I much preferred the excellent sound coming out of my tester’s 10-speaker JBL sound system.

The big, shiny, 7-inch Dual-display infotainment touch display is responsive and simple to navigate. But do not leave home without needing a fabric on you, since it becomes dusty fast.
One thing, I am not sure I got Used to is the positioning of the electronic tachometer. It is not at the driver’s line of sight but instead in the center of the vehicle over the middle console, which means you’ve got to glance to the right to view it. It is where you find information on everything from the fuel mileage and judge to various drive modes, energy use, and engaged security attributes.
The 5-seater is roomy equally from the Front and rear. However, the back does get among their automobile’s two 12-volt outlets. Twist down them for as many as 65.5 cu. feet. My Touring additionally had an add-on Cargo web and carpet floor mats.
One difficulty I did have was Visibility from the back. The double pane glass rearview mirror on the hatchback pulled me off a piece and I found that the center divider impeded my view.
A couple of other items to notice On the inside. Ergonomically speaking, the center console, that opens into the side, was too large to moonlight as my armrest. Additionally, there’s a whole lot of glass property on this vehicle. The issue is front visors only reach halfway around the windows so that they do not fully block sunlight. I would also point out that the cool grey interior proved somewhat debatable on the dashboard. It is bright and distracting in Sunlight.
Who Makes a Prius Handled Like This?
I was amazed at how nicely the Prius Four Touring managed. Toyota did a fantastic job with the driveway, which has all to do with the truth that Toyota started constructing it upon its new international system in 2016. It adheres closer to the floor, and also the lower center of gravity improves handling.
Collectively the motor and hybrid provide 121-horses.
The double-wishbone back suspension System required on potholes well.

There are just four driving The engine and gas motor swap off if needed to conserve petrol and reduce emissions. Power mode ups the throttle to get more pickup and proceed. Eco manner is much more fuel efficient but you eliminate some A/C functionality. EV mode switches into battery-only. However, it is going to only take you a brief one-half mile under particular conditions.
Fuel Economy and Security
I do not need to tell you, However, the Prius Four has some powerful fine fuel market. An EPA-estimated 54 city/50 street kilometers.
You Need to update to the Prius system. Additionally, It came with all the JBL sound update, Advanced voice recognition, and incorporated backup camera screen.
